New York City based Architect with locations both in Manhattan and Milan, Italy, Vincenzo Polsinelli focuses his design and project management skills primarily on education, civic and institutional projects.
His career began in Paris, France, where he was invited to work with his teacher and mentor Guillermo Jullian de la Fuente –collaborator of Le Corbusier and chef de bureau of his atelier – at l’Atelier Jullian. Upon his return to the U.S., he worked with Richard Meier and Partners and subsequently with I.M. Pei and Partners on a variety of high profile national and international projects.
Among Mr Polsinelli’s notable work is the transformation of 172 Duane Street, a dilapidated 1870 cast iron Tribeca building used as the headquarters of a wholesale dairy distributor, into a cinematographic local landmark that has received the American Institute of Architects National Design Honor Award. In 2008 he was granted NYC Landmarks approval for a 4-story addition above the existing structure.
Mr Polsinelli is part of the Net-Zero Energy Building group at the University of Pennsylvania and the T.C.Chan Center Building Simulation and Energy Studies.
